4. Each
time you clean your dentures, brush your gums, tongue and cheeks with a
soft-bristle toothbrush and rinse your mouth thoroughly with water. Keeping your
gums healthy helps your dentures to fit properly.
5. Don't
use pads, liners or denture adhesives to improve the fit of your dentures. If
they're loose, see a denturist.
Your gums, like your
eyes, change as you grow older. Dentures must be
adjusted or change periodically.
6.
Don't use hot or very cold water to clean your dentures. Lukewarm water is the
ideal temperature for them. Extremes in temperature can warp your dentures.
7.
Soak your dentures overnight in a container of water. Don't let them dry out.
Removing your dentures nightly will not
make your face sag. Gums
need time to rest. Healthy gums help your dentures last.
8.
See your denturist for
regular check-ups. This is a preventive step that can save you time and money.

is important to you!
